Software Analysis
Nexus software solutions are based on a solid foundation of planning and design. Nexus analysts explore clients' requirements in detail and then translate them into detailed technical specifications.
Prior to developers writing code Nexus deploys Software Analysts to clients who investigate the business requirements and systems to be built in detail.
Usually during this process business requirements are documented prior to technical plans being constructed that define the system to be built. Sometimes clients prefer to treat this stage as a seperate intial phase of development in its own right and commission Nexus analysts prior to any further development work. This is typical of particularly large or complex projects.
The output of Nexus analysis is a comprehensive set of documents that form a technical schematic. The documentation can be performed to a degree where the plans could be passed on to third party developers, should the client wish.
Nexus analysts use the Unified Modelling Language (UML), in conjunction with wireframe prototyping and enterprise architecture software. These approaches build quality into the software development process, and ensure that the Nexus clients’ needs are translated exactly as intended and expectations are met.
On average analysis forms around 20% of the total development resource allocated to projects. Nexus believes that high quality solutions can only be developed with the very finest attention to detail at early stages of design.
In most cases Nexus will incorporate Rapid Application Development (RAD) techniques into the analyst processes which in conjunction with systems like Enterprise Architect™ ensure that the development process is as efficient as possible. Nexus incorporate the latest cutting edge software analysis techniques into the development process.
